Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick

On behalf of Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick we express our sincere thanks to all the dedicated fundraisers at the Cornucopia Committee:

Your long-term partnership with the Hospital’s Child Protection Unit is highly valuable to the lives of so many children in need and their families. The Sydney Children’s Hospital Child Protection Team cares for abused children who range in age from young babies to adolescents and with the support of the Cornucopia Committee we can ensure that children who have been abused receive the care and treatment they and their families need.

The work of the Cornucopia Committee in supporting child protection throughout NSW is vital and has enabled the Sydney Children’s Hospital to expand services in this important area. The funds you have donated over recent years have contributed to the establishment and ongoing operation of the Health Screening Clinic for children in Out of Home Care

The Director of the Child Protection Unit at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Dr Dimitra Tzioumi had this to say about the importance of our partnership with the Cornucopia Committee: “We can’t express enough our heartfelt thanks to the hard working dedicated and enthusiastic members of the Cornucopia Committee who have supported us for so long. Their contribution to the care of the children we look after is immeasurable. As a direct result of their fundraising efforts we have been able to set up a health screening clinic for children in foster care. We look forward to a continuing association with the committee so that together we can provide the best possible care for this highly disadvantaged group of children”

We understand the hard work and dedication required to fundraise and the staff, patients and families at Sydney Children’s Hospital feel privileged to be one of the beneficiaries of the Cornucopia Committee’s efforts.
