Over the past couple of years the generous donations of the Cornucopia Committee have been used to:

Build and refurbish a room designed for the specifically for therapy with children who have been abused and neglected. The funds have also allowed us to equip it appropriately with therapeutic tools for use in counselling of children at different developmental stages.

• Staff development through support to attend training and conferences.
• Purchase of library resources for professional development in the Unit.
• Support the development and distribution of the prevention strategy ‘Shaking your baby is just not the deal’ DVD.
• Employment of a psychologist to provide psychological assessment for children who have experienced abuse and neglect and to develop and evaluate a group program for children and adolescents who have experienced sexual abuse and their caregivers
• Purchase of a camera and lens for forensic photography.
• Support the Children’s Hospital at Westmead Annual Child Protection Awards.
